Ullswater Hopper Bus – UB1

As part of a drive for more sustainable transport and reduced private vehicle traffic in the Ullswater Valley a new 16 seater mini bus service, operated by Stagecoach and called the Ullswater Hopper Bus UB1.

Ullswater Hopper Bus UB1
This service will operate on weekends and bank holidays from 31st March to 2nd November and will additionally run a daily service between 25th – 30thMay (Whit Week) and every day between 30th June and 29th August.
509 Keswick-Ullswater-Lowther-Penrith
This service will operate on weekends and bank holidays from 31st March to 2nd November. The details of a daily service between 25th – 30th May (Whit Week) and every day between 30th June and 29th August between Pooley Bridge and Lowther will be finalised in the next few weeks.

The bus connects holiday accommodation like ours around the valley with destinations such as Pooley Bridge, Ullswater Steamers, Howtown and onward transport services already in place.

Trips will be priced at £3 single, £6 return. Concessionary fares will be supported. Under 5 year olds go free. In addition combined tickets for Ullswater Steamers and other Stagecoach services will be available on board and the service will be timed to connect with the existing 508 & 509 services.
